Caving into to Xmas
So I basically caved and purchased myself an early Xmas present. It’s about as shiny as you can get on this side of bling bling. However it has a LOT of chrome.
Food porn
Looking through my Aperture library I realised that I had quite a few other great photos of food that I’d made. Mostly sandwiches, as somehow they make up a large part of my diet, but a few other things. So, a selection.

A Spotless Future
So I had a great day today, one of those days where I get a chance to catch up with myself, and get down to some reading. Getting a better understanding of life (mainly other people’s)…
So I managed to finish off both Delivering Happiness (Hsieh), the book on Zappos, and Let My People Go Surfing (Chouniard), that on Patagonia. Don’t I just love corporate autobiographies? I also made a sizeable dent in The Checklist Manifesto (Gawande) and Walden (Thoreau) (just to read something different).
Field Notes
Field Notes have been on my radar for a long time. Frankly, they just look awesome. The throwback design and quality in which they’re put together is great. All thanks to Draplin Design Co (and Coudal Partners). I almost managed to go to Aaron Draplin’s talk last Tuesday in London (as I imagined it would have been incredible (this was then confirmed)), but I had other plans in the form of a birthday party…
