Looking through various sites, I remembered how great an picture this was showing what Apple is all about – simplicity, immense design and ease of use. This picture sums it all up : If you haven’t a clue of what or where this is from, it is from the Apple “One More Thing…” event back in October this year where Steve unveiled the new iMac with FrontRow and integrated iSight. This picture is of the remote control from the iMac, along with the remote controls of two other brands, Gateway and HP respectively. Aside from the obvious difference in size, the number of buttons on the remote can be observed… Notice the non-Apple remotes have 40 or more buttons where as the iMac one has just 6.
Doesn’t that show you something about Apple, doesn’t that make you think that some things do not necessarily need to be as complicated as they are (and vice versa, some simple things can do more things than they seem…). I suppose this image shows how eloquant Apple’s design is, what the idea behind the company is and why they really are the best.
If only other manufacturers just put a small amount of thought into their products…
