The theremin (pronounced ter-e-min methinks) is a device invented by a Russian musician/scientist that enables you to produce music without actually touching the instrument. Basically you wave your hands around the aerial(s) to make different noises. How cool is that?
It was famously used by the Beach Boys in Good Vibrations, but also used extensively by the likes of Jimmy Page (especialy in some of the live sets!). Comedians such as Bill Bailey also use them to great effect…
